Here is Saga in her new crib that Grandma and Grandpa bought for her. The picture with all of the kids on the couch was taken on my birthday. These are the kids that Saga is going to grow up with in Sundom. The baby on my lap is 3 1/2 months old. It's amazing how fast they grow. I'm savoring all the days with Saga. We went to the Dr. yesterday and she is now 8 lbs. 10 oz.

By the way, Axel does have a mohawk. I did it and believe me I did not inherit the beautician gene.

Saga 1 week old

Saga is now over a week old and things are starting to settle down a bit. For the most part she sleeps through the night. Of course she wakes up to eat or I end up waking her up to eat but then she fall asleep again right away. Our days have been starting around 10.00 am which is when she wakes up for the day. As I'm writing this mom is out on the snowmobile with Axel. I just watched them drive away and she looks really cold. The temperature today is 1 degree F but that's no reason to stay inside. I wanted to say thank you for all of the nice email we have received and soon I will get around to emailing everyone back, I promise. It just seems right now there isn't any time. I'm dreading the day mom leaves because she has been such a big help. Enjoy the pictures!!

Saga

Saga

I hope we haven't kept you all waiting too long. As most of you know, Saga Isobel Nordmark was born on Jan. 12th 2007. She weighed 8 pound and was 20 inches long. The story goes as follows: On Friday morning at 1:45 am I woke up and felt something strange. My water had broken so I woke Axel up and he called the hospital and they said to come in within 3 hours to get checked. We thought that we should eat something so Axel made oatmeal. I didn't have any contractions until about 10 minutes after my water broke. They started out very mild and then gradually got stronger throughout eating and in the car ride to the hospital. They hooked me up to the machine for 30 minutes to see how strong the contractions were and to monitor the babies heart beat. I think they were a bit skeptical, we thought maybe they were going to send us home but after they looked at the print out of the contractions they said I could go to the bath and relax in there. It was really cozy, candles and juice, and the contractions just kept coming stronger and closer together. I was only in the tub for about 20 minutes and then I needed to get out because I really wanted to start pushing. This was only 4 hours after my water broke, very fast. So, at 6:27 am Saga was born. She started feeding right away and we then ate a bit of breakfast together, Saga, Axel and I. It was such a wonderful time and I couldn't have asked for an easier delivery. Now we are home and my mom is here to help out. Saga sleeps a lot and when she's awake she lays quietly and looks around. She's a GREAT baby so far. We love her and have taken TONS of pictures.

One Day Overdue!!

Yesterday was supposed to be the day but nothing happened! So this is my one day overdue picture. Axel took the sunrise picture last week sometime. We feel so lucky to get to wake up and look out our window and see this (even though the sun is rising at 9:30.

New Years 2006

We don't have any baby news to share, yet! Tomorrow, the 7th, is the due date but I'm not expecting anything to happen anytime soon. We had a nice relaxing New Years. Arvid and Helena, Axel's brother and his girlfriend, came over and we made dinner together. There's a picture of the table all set with my red fiesta ware dishes that my mom and grandma sent to me. Axel and I are sitting on our couch waiting for 12:00 to come around so we can get ready for bed. Axel's beard was getting a bit long so he thought he would start the new year with a clean face. He's so cute!! Hopefully the next picture I put up will be of the new baby Nordmark...
