Christmas 2006

Well, today is Christmas Day and we have already opened all of our presents. We actually did it last night at Axel's parents house. I must include a picture of the food, a real Swedish Christmas Smorgasboard. Santa stopped by and handed out some presents in the evening and so we spent about 2 hours opening presents. We did it one by one so everyone got to see what everyone else got. We miss you all and wish you a very merry Christmas. Thank you for all of the Christmas cards that we received and the wonderful gifts.

Last Day of Work

Yesterday, Wednesday, was my last day of work for a long time. I am now in waiting mommy mode! These are a few of the kids that I was with this year. Their father is from England so they speak English with him at home as well as Swedish with their mother. I plan to stay home with the baby for at least a year and half (we get paid to stay home with our children here). Hope everyone is prepared for Christmas and gets to spend time with loved ones. Have a great Holiday!!

Gingerbread Baking Day

It seems there are many traditions that every Swedish family does in December. Baking gingerbread cookies is one of them. Last Sunday I went to my in-laws house and that is what we did. Axel has two younger sisters named Fanny(10) and Alina(11) and two younger brothers named Viktor(13) and Arvid (25).

36 weeks

I thought this would be a great way for everyone to keep updated on what is happening with us. My friend Stephanie made a blog, and I check it all the time to see what they are up to. So, instead of sending really big pictures to everyone I can just post them here and you can look whenever you want. This is me 36 weeks pregnant. I'm feeling good, but Axel and I are both very curious about this little baby. We can't wait to meet him/her. I thought I should also add a picture of Axel since it's a family blog. Here he is with two foxes he got with Killer, our dog. That was before all of the snow melted. Our yard doesn't look like that anymore, just wet brown grass. Yuck!
