Creatures

Saga isn't afraid to pick up anything, whether it be a craw fish or a lizard. She was chasing the other kids around with the craw fish and hooking it onto her shirt with it's claws (clever). The lizard was found IN our house. It was in the wood box and quickly got scoped up by Saga. I think something was wrong with it because he just let Saga hold it and didn't run away.

Sixten's 1st Birthday

Here's the birthday boy eating his breakfast.
See my cheerio??
Opening presents from Grandma and Grandpa.  Saga was MORE then willing to help him out :)
Sixten was pretty interested in Saga's presents from Great grandma and grandpa.
The table was all set for our guests.  Sixten wanted to try out his seat.
Then he wanted to rip the paper off the table.  I guess it was his birthday so...
The birthday guests arrived and found their seats at the table.  We served hamburgers, potato salad, bow tie salad and corn on the cob for dinner.
yum
We celebrated Alina and Farfar's birthdays as well because they weren't home for their birthdays.
Then it was time for cake and coffee.
He enjoyed his cake!

Some More Summer Pictures

One of the things I that was on my TO DO list for the summer was to take the kids to Western Farm.  Saga is really into Indians, cowboys, horses so I thought it would be perfect fun for us.  It was great!  Lots to see and plenty of horses to look at and ride.  Fun was had by all!
Western girl Saga, I think she would rather be a cowboy actually.
Papa and Sixten at Western Farm.  He is throwing himself at me, I think.
Saga heading off on her horse ride by herself.  What a big girl we have.
LOVE their faces in this picture.
Sixten took a nap in the middle of all the action. There were guns being fired everywhere (blanks of course).

As I've said before, Sixten loves to visit the dogs in their kennel.  He now walks over there himself and tries to let them out.  Saga makes sure that doesn't happen :)

Some fun in the sun with Axel and Elin.  One of our last swimming adventures before the weather turned Fallish (it that a word?)
I asked Saga to model our carrots we've grown in the garden this year.  She thought that was funny and then gave me this pose.  So serious and cute.

Guess Who's 1?

This little baby is now this little boy.  The first year is such a time of change and development. More of a birthday post later, I promise.  Need to go to bed now!
